Beef Steak Recipe

Hi Mommies!

Prepping for lunch or dinner? If yes, then i will share to you my favorite dish, my savory Beef Steak or Bistek Tagalog in Filipino version. Cooking this is just easy as what you think. Just with the right ingredients you can achieve a tasty and flavorful Beef Steak recipe. Here it is :)

Ingredients:

Beef Sirloin
Red Onion, chopped
Red Onion, sliced rings for top
Garlic, minced
Slurry ( constarch mixed with water)
Potatoes or baby potatoes, cut into cubes or half

Marinade Mixture:
Calamansi or Lemon
Vinegar
Oyster Sauce
Soy Sauce
White Sugar
Salt
Ground Black Pepper

Preparation:

In a pot, boil the beef until it tenders, separate the broth, set aside.
In a separate pot, boil baby potatoes as well for 4-5 minutes, drain. After draining the potatoes, in a separate pan, heat oil and start frying them until medium brown. Drain and set aside.
On the same pan, start frying the onion rings until crispy for toppings later. Note: You can fry half of the onion just until translucent, remove from the pan; the rest of onions you can fry until crispy brown.

Cooking Proper:

Heat oil and saute the chopped red onions and garlic then add the beef. (you can use the same pan where you fry the crispy onions just less oil.
Add the beef broth and simmer.
Add the marinade mixture stir occasionally, simmer until beef absorbs the mixture/sauce. You may add salt to taste.
Mix in the slurry, half boiled and fried potatoes, and the half cooked red onion rings, stir.
Topped with Crispy onion rings and Voila!
